Crystal Agar-Agar Candy

Ingredients:
• 2 packs of Bola Dunia agar-agar
• 750 g sugar
• 1 L water
• Food coloring, as desired

 

Instructions:

  1. In a pot, mix the agar-agar powder, sugar, and water. Stir well.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then remove from heat.
  3. Pour the mixture into several small molds or containers and add food coloring as desired.
  4. Let it cool and set completely.
  5. Once set, cut into preferred shapes.
  6. Sun-dry the agar pieces until completely dry and a white sugar crystal layer forms (3–5 days). During the drying process, cover the trays with a thin cloth to keep insects away. Once dried, the candies can be packaged or enjoyed immediately.
